Natural Gas Conditioning Skids

The J2B Natural Gas Condition Skid meets Solar Turbine ES9-98 Specifications. This heater and coalescing filter skid is designed and manufactured for use in the natural gas fuel supply system for Soar Turbine power generation applications. The skid includes onboard heaters to pre-heat incoming natural gas. Then removes moisture by way of coalescing vessels that also removes particulate contamination. Manual valves are used to purge collected contamination from the bottom of the vessels.

Operating Conditions:

▪ Fuel: Natural Gas.
▪ Natural Gas Composition:
− Methane (CH4): 70% – 99%
− Carbon dioxide (CO2): 0%-30%
− Nitrogen (N2): 0%-30%
− Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S): 0.1-650 ppm.
▪ Pressure: 375+/- 20 psig.
▪ Temperature range: -20°F – 120°F.
▪ Flow: 4MMSCFD.
▪ Ambient conditions:
− The filter will be outside in extreme environmental conditions.
− Tamb Max: 122°F.

Design Requirements:

Heater

  • Electrical Heather to increase the gas temperature.
  • Inlet range gas temperature: -20°F to 120°F.
  • Outlet range gas temperature: 100°F to 200°F
  • Gas Supply Temperature higher of dew point temp +50°F for the natural gas (Solar Spec. ES9-98)
  • Filters Coalescer:
  • Duplex Filters with isolation valves for each vessel.
  • Ultra-high efficiency filter coalescer for 1 micron – 99.9% efficiency• Filter Vessels designed per ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 with ASME code stamp.
    Instrumentation and valves:
    ▪ Pressure Differential Indicator across each vessel with a 4-20mA output
    ▪ Liquid level gauge with a 4-20mA output.
    ▪ ASME Certified Pressure relief valves provided on each filter vessel.
    ▪ Globe type Drain valves.
    ▪ Needle type Vent valves.
