Activated carbon block filter cartridges are commonly used to remove chlorine, hydrogen sulfide and organic chemicals. Coconut shell activated carbon block offers a high level of porosity and surface area, coupled with low dust leaching, for maximum absorption of small particles. This is especially beneficial when removing VOC’s and other dissolved contaminants.
Process water that typically is discarded due to smell can be re-used, thus lowering water consumption. Other dissolved metals and particulate can be removed by other means, such as resins and particulate filters for a complete filtration solution.
