CNG & ALTERNATIVE FUEL FILTERS – COMPRESSED AIR & GAS
Chase Filters recently added high pressure coalescing filters to their product line. The 57 Series is for removal of water and particulate from compressed air and gas. These filters are ideal for CNG and alternative fuels.
Housings are offered in aluminum, stainless steel, coated carbon steel and polycarbonate. Pressures to 5,700 PSIG.
Alternative Fuels (CNG) Vehicles Require a High Level of Filtration
Compressed natural gas (CNG) is being used more and more in municipal and other large motor vehicle fleets. These fuels burn cleaner than gasoline and are often less expensive. Typical line pressures for compressed natural gas delivery range from 2,000 to 5,000 psig. Contaminants are present in these pipelines in the form of particulate and water. If not filtered properly, these contaminants will reduce equipment life, increase downtime and maintenance costs.
The Chase 57AFS series of filters utilizes a specially formulated
70CS grade media to remove water, oils and particulate contamination down to 95% of 0.01 micron.

Our high efficiency coalescing compressed air & gas filters are designed for versatility. They are 100% machined, completely anodized, one-piece bowl, and a captured Buna-N O-Ring.
C grade element is constructed of two layers of borosilicate microfiber. The first (inner layer) is comprised of very fine fiber and is more densely packed to capture microscopic aerosols. The outer layer is made up of slightly larger fibers which allow the captured liquids to pass through the depth of the wall and drain off the filter element.
Stainless Steel Coalescing Filters
Series 57T Stainless Steel housings are constructed entirely of 316L stainless steel and are free of welds to comply with NACE MR-01-75. All housings come with Viton Seals and a Coalescing Filter Element.
