Spin on filters are not efficient and often do not do a sufficient job of maintain oil cleanliness, due to internal bypass. Spin on filters are also expensive as you are buying the housing every time you change filters, throwing away materials and money. Converting spin on filters to a proper filter housing, with an internal cartridge saves money and keeps your fluids cleaner.
