The Aluma-Finned, Aluminum Circulation and Immersion heater is for low wattage density surface applications.  These heaters are available in aluminum (T-6360), standard carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic materials such as titanium.  The Finns are extruded or CNC-machined depending on the material.  The Finns are extruded vertically when employing the aluminum design and CNC-machined horizontally for all other materials. Our unique design increases surface area per square inch while allowing more power per linear inch but maintains low watt densities on the surface.

Aluma-Finned Immersion and Circulation Heaters serve customers in diverse industries surrounding oil and gas, gas dryers, gas turbines, chemical, power, asphalt, and marine, and other industries which require heating a liquid either by circulation or by stagnancy.

Applications include: Lube Oil Heating, Oil Recycling, Water Heating, Freeze Protection, Heat Transfer Oil Heating, Fuel Oil Heating, Steam, Air, and Gas Heating and others

Liquids that are commonly heated with aluminum immersion and circulation heaters are oil, benzene, glycol, asphalt, acetone, mineral oils, sea water and air.

These aluminum immersion and circulation heaters are  used for oil processing, oil filtration, oil purification, vacuum dehydration and vacuum degassing.

All heaters are available in both single and three-phase with voltages available ranging from 208V to 600V with a maximum allowed capacity of 96KW. TriVolt can offer multiple stages per heater as required.

TriVolt heaters are typically mounted on a flange ranging from 3” to 10” on area both 150 to 300 PSI; while for higher pressures applications TriVolt works in conjunction with CWSB-ASME for separate certification. The Aluma-Finned Immersion and Circulation heater can operate up to 25W/PSI depending on the particularity of the application, mechanical dimensions and operating temperatures.

Where space is limited, TriVolt can offer our 3” NPT hex mounting screw plug. This option is only offered on the standard carbon steel, stainless steel and titanium materials.

All heaters are available with NEMA 1, 4 Enclosures compliant with CSA-CUS and HazLoc certifications.

TriVolt’s innovative proprietary Solid Work Simulation software is employed to determine the exact material and wattage per square inch required for any application.

All TriVolt products have undergone stringent internal and CSA testing, CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 72-10 (2013) and UL 499 Thirteenth Editions; Class 2871-02 and 2871-82. HazLoc certification pending.
